Staying loyal to early vocation, Alicia Borrell decided to move to Madrid in the mid 80’s to train as a fashion designer.
She studied at different schools, obtaining a qualification in Fashion Design and Industrial Parttern with the highest marks.
During the following decade she acquired extensive professional experience working at various companies in the field of fashion.
In the 2000 she decided to take a huge step creating her own label. At the same time she joined the association “Gran Canaria moda Calida”, a project run by the Town Council to promote and support companies in the field of fashion design.
Thanks to that project Alicia’s collections have been presented in the fairs as important as Barcelona’s SALÓN GAUDÍ, the SIMM (international Fashion Week of Madrid) and the “FASHION FÜR” in Germany.
Pictures of Alicia’s designs are published in prominent, high profile magazines such as “AR”, “pasarelas Internacionales” and “WOMAN”, and her work is recognised by the media, which takes great interest in her professional development. Her continuing expertise means that the media also regularly invites her to take part in programmes and discussions about fashion.
For the present she still enjoys her job greatly and she wants to continue her progress incorporating new projects.
